A perfect workshop for writers, poets, designers, and architects — anyone who has ever wanted a book truly their own.
Using a classic sewn structure with a soft cover and no adhesive, this is an ideal introduction to bookbinding: a gentle entry point into sewing techniques and a stepping stone to binding at home with confidence.
High quality, pre-cut materials are provided, and each participant leaves with a beautiful A5 book to keep.
Suitable as a foundation for any of Louise's other workshop offerings.
Louise James is a Tāmaki Makaurau–based artisan bookbinder whose studio in the Waitākere Ranges has been crafting beautiful handmade books and teaching the craft since 2009.
Suitable for all skill levels, materials provided.
