open bindery sessions

For bookbinders without access to equipment, wanting to create projects & work along side like minded people at The Binding Studio.

Skill Level: Intermediate & upward

Availability:

10:30am to 2:30pm Weekdays- Tues / Wed / Thurs

If these days and times do not suit- get in touch to discuss other options / Limited weekends available on enquiry

Cost: $25 per hour / $85 for 4 hours (half day 10:30 to 2:30)

ACCESS FOR MAKERS:

• People who have attended previous workshops

• Bookbinders who have knowledge of equipment and materials

• Affiliates of The Binding Studio

• You will be working independently. Lou will be available to assist where needed, but ideally you would feel confident getting on with your project

Make:

• Your own binding / project utilizing the equipment and tools at The Binding Studio

• Glue, trays and brushes will be available for your use

Bring With You:

• Any materials you need for your binding (additional materials and tools can be purchased prior, or on the day)

• An apron, gloves, mask as required

Booking:

• If you are not sure how much time you will need, call or email Lou to discuss

• Choose hourly or half day and click “add to cart” a form will pop up for you to let me know your preferred dates & a bit about what you intend to make.

• Lou will email you asap to confirm your booking (or discuss alternatives.)

Additional Notes:

The Binding Studio is at 731 Scenic Dr, Henderson Valley, Auckland 0612. There is off street and on street parking available.

Please note there are no public buses to this area. The closest public transport is to Swanson Train Station. An Uber from the train station is approx $20.

72 hours notice is required for cancellations (you will be refunded your payment minus transaction charges.)

Cancellations under 72 hours will result in a 50% refund only.
