Learn how to make books, boxes & more by hand, using traditional & contemporary techniques & tools. Learn tips for binding at home, skills to utilize The Binding Studio’s open bindery sessions & take home a beautiful, professional, handmade product.
There’s a range of workshops on offer, varying in skill levels, taught by Louise James- a true artisan in her field who has been bookbinding in commercial & teaching capacities for 20+ years.
The bindery is nestled in the Waitakere Ranges, West Auckland. In warmer months the sound of native birds accompany your workshop. During winter, the studio fireplace keeps you warm & cosy while you create.
If you’re not sure which workshop will suit your skill level or desired outcome, call Louise & talk through options.
